AN Atherton based company which supplies protective clothing has won a £300,000 contract to provide aircrew coveralls and associated spares for the Ministry of Defence for the next five years.
Cosalt:Ballyclare will supply sand coveralls for RAF aircrew in the desert and orange suits for aircrew search and rescue personnel.
The garment is manufactured using a hardwearing, fire resistant fabric that incorporates a two way zip on the front.
Two piece sleeves are fastened using an adjuster cuff tab and velcro and the leg openings can be secured using a zip on the inside leg seam and adjuster tabs.
Comfort and flexibility are addressed with adjuster tabs and velcro at the waist and two strategically placed darts in the upper and lower back. There is plenty of room to store essentials in the breast, thigh, sleeve and leg pockets.
