AFTER signing the petition against the image changing of the Market Hall, I cannot believe that Bolton Council have ignored the thousands of people who also signed it, as well as the many letters they received voicing concerns.
Bolton has lost enough of its charm and history over the last few decades. Surely it's now time to preserve the heritage the town has left and instead refurbish the slum areas of which there are many .
I shop in the town centre every week and the Market Hall has always been one of my favourite shops and very friendly staff.
Wake up Bolton Council and listen to the town's inhabitants before the town centre becomes a ghost town.
There must be some underlying reason why this project was given the go-ahead by the councillors that the voting public are not aware of.
