It will bring the workforce at the Defence Dynamics division down to just 370 people.
DENTISTS are striking off hundreds of thousands of NHS patients because it is no longer worth their while treating them, it was claimed today.
The Liberal Democrats said it was impossible to get NHS dental treatment in some areas and that 829,719 patients had been de-registered without choice.

THE Westhoughton poultry firm of J. Jolly - at the centre of a "foul smell" row with people living near its Manchester Road premises -is moving to a new factory.
The managing director, Mr Leo Gartner, said the poultry packing firm would be transferring to a £500,000 purpose-built factory on the Westhoughton Industrial estate - possibly by Christmas.
VANDALS have been waging a war of fear on elderly residents at a Farnworth old people's flats complex.
The 28 residents, men and women aged 70 to 90, at Highfield House, Highfield Road, have endured bottles and cans thrown at their windows, youths riding bikes along the indoor corridors of the complex, foul language from gangs of teenagers who play transistor radios outside their flats late at night and the overturning of their dustbins.
Today police were called to the flats after a gang smashed plant pots, daubed soil on walls and ripped the lace curtains on the foyer windows.

The "School for Mothers and Babies Welcome" was founded in 1908 by a small group of Bolton women who decided to form a voluntary association for the welfare of expectant and nursing mothers and for infant children.
Mrs Beatrice Smethurst, who was associated with it for more than 40 years, said today: "With the advent of the National Health Service the activities of our association were no longer necessary and we applied to the Board of Charity Commissioners for our assets to be taken over by the Bolton Guild of Help, who would become trustees of the charity."
BING Crosby fans will be interested to hear that 1955 marks his 50th birthday and his 30th year in show business.
Bing holds an all-time record for 19 discs which have sold more than 1,000,000 copies each.

TEETOTALISM is becoming a fashion, both in the West End and in the City.
Some attribute the wave of temperance to Lent and the religious revival, others to shortness of money.
But, whatever the reason, men no longer imbibe alcohol so freely, especially during the day, as they did a few years ago.
Hotel proprietors, restaurateurs and publicans are unanimous on the point and not one of them regrets the changed habits of their patrons.
The profits made from aerated water are quite as large as those from beer and spirits .
