A BOLTON woman has been banned from licensed premises for a year after spitting in a policeman's face.
District Judge Gwyn Jones imposed the ban on Sarah Brooks at Manchester magistrates court.
The judge told her: "Your behaviour was appalling, and you should be ashamed of yourself."
Brooks, aged 21, of Delamere Gardens, Bolton, admitted charges of police assault and being drunk and disorderly.
She was given a 7pm to 6am curfew for the next five months, and ordered to pay £250 compensation to the officer.
The judge warned her: "I seriously considered sending you to prison for your totally anti-social behaviour."
Prosecutor Jim Mowbray said Brooks was seen shouting and swearing outside a bar in the city's Printworks.
She was very drunk, and at one stage began undressing before spitting at the officer, the court heard.
