WHEN you are just a tot and you only have little legs, 1.2 miles can seem like a marathon.
But children from Dew Drops Nursery at Harwood, put in an Olympic effort - and raised £3,000 for the Meningitis Trust.
The 50 youngsters aged from 16 months old to seven years, wrapped up warm on Sunday to take part in their first Toddle Waddle. The event was organised by mum-of-three Natalie Yates who was inspired after a friend lost her daughter to the disease.
The walk started at the nursery at Christ Church Primary School, and ended at Harwood Library.
Mrs Yates, who took her children, Lucas, aged three, and twins Toby and Libby, aged 18 months, on the walk, said: "It was brilliant. The children were so good.
"When they finished at the library, all the staff applauded them and then provided a story time and lunch."
Mrs Yates hoped to make the toddle an annual event.
