NEWCASTLE RES 0, Wanderers RES 1: Ricardo Vaz Te maintained his scoring run with his second matchwinner in successive games as Wanderers won at Newcastle on Monday night.
The Portuguese starlet, a prolific marksman in the reserves and academy teams this season, struck the only goal in the 14th minute to earn the points that kept Wanderers in a comfortable mid-table position.
Team-mate Ricky Shakes, has created such an impression on loan at Bristol Rovers that Pirates' boss, Ian Atkins, says he could offer him a permanent deal in the summer, if Wanderers don't take up their option to keep him for another season.
Shakes, 20, played just twice on his month's loan but Atkins said: "We've seen things in training that make us think it's worth taking a chance on him.
"There's room there for us to develop him into a player so we'll see what Bolton decide to do with him."
Tickets for Wanderers Premiership game at Liverpool on Saturday, April 2, go on sale to season ticket holders from Wednesday.
Chelsea's visit to the Reebok on Saturday, April 30, has been selected for live coverage by Sky TV and will kick off at 5.15.
