EAGLEY'S erratic league form continued at the weekend when they went down 2-0 away at Freckleton.
The Villagers dominated possession in the early stages and should have gone ahead with Carl Grimshaw, Kev Hughes and Neil Matthews all going close.
The game was turned on its head on 38 minutes when the home sidescored when Dave Taylor, unmarked in the box, put his side ahead from their first corner of the game. He repeated the feat within two minutes to put his side 2-0 up at the break.
The game deteriorated into a defensive stalemate, with neither side producing much goalmouth action.
Eagley Reserves crashed out of the Houston Cup at Whinney Hill. Ashley Morris scored for the Villagers.
