WELSH rockers The Stereophonics, have confirmed an extensive UK tour for September, which includes a date at the Manchester Evening News Arena.
The band's latest release Dakota gave them cause for celebration last week as it became their first ever UK number one single.
The trio have previously had a string of top five successes with Bartender and the Thief, Just Looking, Pick A Part That's New, Mr Writer, Have a Nice Day, Handbags & Gladrags, Madame Helga, Maybe Tomorrow and Moviestar
Their new album, Language. Sex. Violence. Other?, released this week, sees a return to their rock roots, with singer Kelly Jones throwing his acoustic guitars on the fire and dusting off his Gibsons.
New recruit, Javier Weyler, seems to have impressed devotees with his drumming skills and, with bass player Rich proving time and time again why he is one of the best in the business, fans can look forward to a great night.
Stereophonics play the MEN Arena on Friday September 16. Tickets, at £27.50, are on sale now by contacting the box office on 0870 190 8000.
