TOTESPORT Gold Cup hope Farmer Jack suffered a suspected heart attack and died on Philip Hobbs' gallops on Wednesday morning.
The gelding had been supplemented for chasing's blue riband after an impressive win from Strong Flow and Celestial Gold in the AON Chase at Newbury last month.
Hobbs had been pleased with the horse's preparation, but the Somerset handler was left devastated on Wednesday morning when Farmer Jack collapsed and died during a routine piece of work, reports Sky Sport.
