A 14-YEAR-OLD girl has died, a day after she suffered serious head injuries in a road accident.
Carmen Mather, of Derwent Street, Astley, was hit by a Land Rover in Astley Street, Astley, at 8.15am on Monday morning.
She was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital with serious head injuries and later transferred to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital at Pendlebury where she died on Tuesday afternoon.
