SATURDAY morning football was put on hold when a group of boys got cracking with the coffee cups to raise cash for charity.
The boys from the 78th Christ Church Walmsley Beavers, spent the morning making coffee and organising a raffle, tombola and games, to raise money for the Wishes and Dreams Trust which grants wishes for terminally ill children. Beaver leader and mother of two Joanna Male, said: "I went to concert at the Albert Hall where the Houghton Weavers were raising money for the charity and I thought we could so something to help."
The 14 busy beavers raised £500 for their efforts.
