BOLTON Mets Under-13s' brave efforts could only limit Crosfields to a 40-10 victory.
Bolton started slowly and struggled to find their feet as Crosfields raced into an 18-0 lead. Mets fought back but were unable to convert the pressure into points and went in at halftime 24-0 down.
The second half saw Mets efforts finally rewarded with tries for Leon Warburton and man of the match Chris Shilson. Mets failed to score again while Crosfield added two late tries.
Mets are still looking to add to their squad. Training is Thursday, 7 pm at Withins Leisure Centre or contact Dave on 07834951485.
