IN reply to Mrs Ann M Redmond (Bolton Evening News, March 11). I did not take contaminated refuse home as stated in the Bolton Evening News on March 9.
It was not stated in the interview that I had taken the contaminated refuse home. I merely pointed out that there was several bags of refuse in his room and passed them on to a nurse to dispose of.
As to taking my own cleaning materials in to the hospital, which I had considered doing but didn't, if my son's room had been cleaned to the standard a hospital should be, then I would not have brought this to the attention of the public.
Mrs Redmond, come on would you have not done the same if your son had been in the same situation?
Mrs Olwen Doherty
