WITH reference to the Uglow Wind Farm application appeal. It is very worrying that the appeal against the decision by Blackburn with Darwen council to refuse permission for two 95m high wind turbines at Edgworth is to be decided by written representations only.
Surely the original application generated sufficient public outcry, that the correct forum for this appeal would have been a public inquiry?
I have been contacted by many Edgworth residents who are angry that their voice will not be heard at this appeal.
Those particularly affected will be those residents who will have to put up with the constant noise that these massive turbines will produce.
Inquiries into similar applications have been held in public, why not this one? Perhaps someone at Blackburn with Darwen council can tell us.
