IRISH eyes will be smiling on Saturday if a singalong attempt at Manchester United's Old Trafford sets a new world record.
Fans, players, coaches and managers will be expected to sing the famous folk song Dirty Old Town at the match against Fulham.
It is estimated a crowd of 68,000 will sing along. A traditional Irish band will lead the singing with lyrics to be included in the match programme.
The event marks the conclusion of the 10th Manchester Irish Festival.
There is currently no record for a stadium singalong, the only similar attempt was recorded in Breslam, Germany in August 1937, with 60,000 choir singers at a concert.
