YOUNG people in Westhoughton could get up to £100 to fund their hobbies.
Set up in 1903, Westhoughton Educational Charity gives young people, under the age of 25, who live or attend school in Westhoughton grants for extra-curricular courses or expeditions.
The charity's trustees award a number of grants throughout the year. The next trustee meeting is at the end of April.
Charity Honourary Secretary, Rosemary Aldred said: "We want to encourage children to apply for things they could not get funding for normally from their school or college. In the past we have awarded them to children who have been going to competitions abroad for wrestling or swimming instructors courses, ballet and dance."
Applications close on April 29. Anyone interested in applying should call 01204 331150.
