BUS services 551, 553 and 675 travelling to Leigh from Walkden will be affected by the closure of Newearth Road from its junction with Stafford Road to Park Road and Hilton Lane roundabout until early May. First Manchester services 551 and 553 will travel via Park Road and the A575 Walkden Road, then taking the A580 East Lancs Road back to Newearth Road.
South Lancs Travel service 675 will travel via Park Road, Normanby Road and Carlton Road back to Newearth Road.
The closure and bus service diversions is so that Transco can lay a new gas main.
