LEIGH Centurions aim to turn the form book upside down in Friday's Super League derby clash at Wigan.
Leigh are the only team yet to win a Super League point this season and they face a huge test in the first league meeting between the two sides for 12 years.
The Centurions have mixed news on the injury front with half-back Jason Ferris facing up to three months on the sidelines with a depressed cheekbone fracture.
A consultant confirmed Leigh's worst fears over the injury on Monday and now Ferris will be missing for eight to 12 weeks.
New Samoan winger Dom Feaunati has again been left out of the squad for the JJB. But there are returns for James King, Rob Smyth, John Wilshere and Neil Turley.
And more good news is that second rower Oli Wilkes should be fit.
Wilkes was KO'd while making a tackle against Bradford last week and there were initial fears that he had perforated an ear drum. But the injury is nothing worse than concussion and all the signs are that he will be fit.
Brian Carney has been included in Wigan's squad and looks set to make his first start of the season.
Leigh's hopes of boosting their squad has been hit by their poor early season attendances.
Leigh officials were particularly dismayed at a gate of just 4,239 for last Friday's Hilton Park clash with Bradford Bulls.
That, coupled with gates of just over 4,000 for previous games against Huddersfield and Salford, have forced the club into a re-think.
"We are something like £40,000 down already on projected income through the gates," said executive director Derek Beaumont. "It's obvious we can't carry on down that road and we won't spend money we haven't got.
"Our crowds have been a big disappointment. They are little better than when we were playing the top teams in National League One.
To help boost attendances Leigh have switched a scheduled Friday night home game to a Sunday. Instead of meeting Leeds Rhinos on Friday, May 13, they will meet at Hilton Park on Sunday, May 15.
Fans will also be allowed to pay on the turnstile, for the Asda End only, for the home clash with London Broncos on Easter Monday.
