A FAMILY event is being hosted in Bury to urge residents to be proud of the town.
Police and Bury Council are urging members of the public to take part in the event as part of the Proud of Bury initiative.
Police will give crime reduction advice and information on Homewatch schemes in the Bury area and local charities and organisations will display their work.
Children can also meet police dogs and horses, sit in a working fire engine and meet Bury FC's mascot, Robbie the Bobby.
The event will take place at Philips High School in Whitefield between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday and will be attended by the Deputy Mayor of Bury, Cllr Wilf Davison, and Supt Peter Schofield.
Insp Vincent Jones of Bury Police Station said: "Bury is an absolutely fantastic part of the world to live and work with low crime, low unemployment and a great community spirit.
"We encourage all residents to attend the fun day to find out how they can work together with police, our partners and most importantly each other to improve their quality of life."
