JOHN McGinlayflies in from America this weekend to take his place in a gathering of Bolton Wanderers legends.

Super John is the latest big name from the club's glorious past to confirm he will join a star-studded cast at the club's Legends Evening on Sunday, even though he is currently coaching in the States.

"For anyone who has the feelings like I do for the club, it is worth the effort to fly over from the States," said the fans' favourite.

"I am looking forward to seeing all the old boys and of course, to see how high up the top 50 I am."

McGinlay, who scored 118 goals in 244 games in a glorious five-year spell with the Whites, will join an array of star names from past generations who will join members of the current squad at the event in the Reebok's Premier Suite.

Sam Allardyce and his assistant, Phil Brown, who both played for and managed the Whites, will join 1958 FA Cup winners Nat Lofthouse, Roy Hartle, Tommy Banks and Dennis Stevens at the gathering. The exact details and itinerary of the event are a closely guarded secret, but club officials are promising a fantastic night for all true Wanderers fans.

Alongside 500 paying guests who will witness the countdown of Wanderers' top 50 all-time players, will be other former favourites including Frank Worthington, Gudni Bergsson, Warwick Rimmer, Wyn Davies, Francis Lee, Gordon Taylor, Paul Jones, John Thomas, Tony Kelly, Alan Thompson, Dean Holdsworth and Per Frandsen.
