BEING an inquisitive kind of person, I decided to attend the recent public meeting of Veritas at the Pack Horse Hotel in Bolton, and found myself somewhat surprised by the number of incidents on the evening.
Firstly, I was confronted by a small group of demonstrators outside the Pack Horse claiming that Veritas was a racist organisation.
Imagine my surprise, therefore, when I found myself sitting next to a black gentleman of African origin, who was a member, and obviously an ardent supporter, of Veritas.
Secondly, for such a new party to attract well over one hundred people to its first public meeting in the area is in itself quite a feat.
Kilroy is a breath of fresh air in politics, and looking at the calibre of some of his people around him, he appears to be gathering a strong team. I personally wish Kilroy well with his endeavours.
