TOUTS have been cashing in on the generosity of Bolton comic Peter Kay and selling charity tickets for his Albert Hall concert at up to four times their face value.
Kay is one of a host of top name acts, including Eric Clapton, Roger Daltrey and Franz Ferdinand who have given their time free to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust in a series of concerts at the top London venue.
The Bolton comedian is headlining a concert on April 6. A Comedy Night with Peter Kay and Guests is already a sell out.
Tickets for the concert officially range from £18.50 to £51, but on eBay bids have been placed for as much as £460 for a pair of fifth row seats - a mark up of more than 350 per cent.
There are fears that the prices could soar even higher as the concert date gets nearer and touts take advantage of people's inability to get tickets any other way.
The Teenage Cancer Trust builds adolescent cancer units in hospitals and provides support and information services for young patients, their families, schools and health professionals.
A Trust spokeswoman said: "We were outraged to see the tickets up there for such an inflated price. We are urging the eBay sellers to do the right thing and make a donation."
