MATCH of the day in the Bolton Pioneer League Premier Division was the clash between Party People and Ellesmere, both teams with the chance of winning the championship.
In the end, Ellesmere emerged 4-0 winners with goals from Hibbert, Nicholson, Hulton and Greer.
Astley Miners remained in second spot after a 5-1 home victory against Masons Arms, two goals each for Whittle and Lennon and one from Parkinson for Miners, while Ormrod replied for Masons.
Daisy Hill picked up their first victory of the season with a 7-2 home victory against Church.
Farnworth was their goal star with a hat-trick, with further goals coming from Shinks, Simm and two from Nicholson.
Spread Eagle had a 1-0 away victory against Farmers Arms, with Greensill scoring the only goal.
In Division One league leaders Stags Head went down to a 6-2 defeat at Little Lever, scorers were Carrigan, Battersby and two each from Wells and Beattie.
In the Josey A White Trophy, North Bolton moved into the quarter finals with a 3-2 away victory against Sharples.
McKay and Shields were on target for Bolton.
Greyhound moved into the semi final after a 6-1 away victory at Hall'th' Wood. Duncan, Lawrence and a hat trick from Kinsella were on target for Greyhound, while Farnworth Social Circle joined them in the semi-final after a 2-0 victory over White Horse.
