A MYSTERY woman donated a £1,000 drum kit to a charity for young people.
The woman called at the Respect Counselling Service in Chorley New Road, Bolton, and dropped off the kit without leaving her name or address.
Now the young people at the centre want to thank her and have made a card to give to her.
Donald Gayle, project counselling supervisor, said: "The lady just came along, dropped it off and went. We were just amazed. Initially, we wanted to buy a kit because we work with children who have emotional problems."
The kit is being used as one of the relaxation techniques for youngsters after therapy sessions. They also learn rapping, DJ-ing and the guitar. The more talented pupils are referred to the Harmony Youth Project in Halliwell, where they can test their musical ability.
Mr Gayle said that the woman, who was in her 30s or 40s, called when they were short staffed and so was not spoken to by anyone at the centre.
"The kids really want to thank her," he said.
