LANCASHIRE Road Club riders dominated the weekend local cycling time trials.
Craig Battersby and Paul Shallicker fresh from pre-season training in Mallorca rode in the Circuit of Ingleborough time trial. The event organised by Pendle Forest CC was on a 27 mile course based at Ingleton.
Battersby finisihed in second place with a time of 1.05.09 and Shallicker third in 1.06.02.
Closer to home on Sunday, Lancashire Road Club riders took most of the top honours in the Ribble Valley CRC circuit of Longridge Fell. It was a 19-mile time trial with a £500 prize list.
Craig Battersby won the event with a time of 46.16 and collected the Gibbon Bridge Trophy, Paul Shallicker was fourth in 47.29, and Tony Lowe 7th and first vets 40 in 48.40.
These three won the team award for the event.
Frank Kerry won the vets 60 award in 53.53, and Sara Quinlan won the womens award in 1.03.29. Also riding were Paul Quinlan in 57.48, Graham Hall in 57.21 and Sally Roy in 1.04.12
Lancs Road Club will be fielding a team of eight riders in this weekend's Rockingham Forest two-day stage race in Northamptonshire.
