PRIMARY school children have been treated to Britain's first blockbuster animated film.
The pupils from St George's Primary School, in The Hoskers, Westhoughton, watched the animated movie Valiant, courtesy of Vue Cinemas in Middlebrook.
The cinema gave the school tickets as part of a fundraising effort.
Mark de Quervain, marketing director at Vue, said: "The children loved their day out and Valiant is a wonderful film."
Valiant is a computer generated imagery animated comedy that tells the story of a lowly wood pigeon of the same name who overcomes his small size to become a hero in the Royal Homing Pigeon Service during the Second World War.
It features the voices of Ewan McGregor, Ricky Gervais, Tim Curry, and John Cleese.
