FIRE bosses are calling for a derelict Labour club to be bulldozed to prevent young firebugs from getting killed.
Teenage arsonists piled timber against the former Bradford Ward Labour club, on Bridgeman Street, Bolton, on Wednesday and set the building alight. It is the third arson attack on the premises this week and firefighters were urging Town Hall chiefs to demolish the damaged club to end the spate of destruction.
Fire chief Jim O'Byrne said: "No matter how well we board it up, the kids will continue to break in.
"But it won't be long before something goes wrong and a person is killed.
"If the club is not knocked down in the next few days, a child could trip, bang their head and be overcome by the fumes."
A building inspector from Bolton Council is set to visit the premises to decide what steps to take.
