I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting it.
Please note in your diaries that Team Fantastic, who visited last October, will be in Victoria Square from May 12-15, with its continental market. More details nearer the time.
We have had many requests for this type of market and now I am being asked about German markets and farmers' markets. All I can say is watch this space - you never know what next year will bring.
As for this year, Easter is just days away now and Bolton town centre is a must this weekend with lots of fun on Friday and Saturday. But don't forget that all the shops are closed Easter Sunday.
Bolton Market Hall tenants share our view that family entertainment is a high priority in the town centre to encourage visitors, particularly in the holiday periods, and they are jointly hosting a Festival of Fun.
It will take place on Friday and Saturday from 11am to 4pm in Bolton Market Hall and will offer stilt walkers (Friday only), Punch and Judy, professional clowns and magicians, Zio the Hydronoid (Robotic Mime), arts and crafts for the children to make and create their own Easter designs, free henna and face painting.
There will be live music including a jazz and steel band plus, outside on the patio, DJS will play music to suit all ages, with karaoke, games, and free competitions.
And Bertie the Bear will make a special appearance, giving out free Easter eggs to children.
In association with the Bolton Evening News, Crompton Place is giving away Easter Bunny chocolate lollipops when you buy a newspaper either today or Saturday between 11.30am and 3.30pm in Crompton Place.
