RADCLIFFE Borough have a huge Easter weekend ahead of them with two matches against teams from the top five.
Radcliffe, currently ninth, have not given up on reaching the play-off zone. They start the weekend double header at Burscough, who are six points ahead and currently occupy the final play-off spot. A victory here, and in the home fixture against fourth place Whitby Town on Bank Holiday Monday, will put the Stainton Park men back in the promotion mix.
But manager Kevin Glendon is under no illusions of the diffculty ahead. He said: "We've got two big games this weekend and if we get two wins out of two and other results around us go our way then we still have a chance. Anything less and I dont think we will make it."
After beating Whitby 2-0 earlier in the season he is confident they can do the double and hopefully have six more points by Monday evening.
If this is achieved, Boro may look back and believe they should have always been in promotion contention.
"The amount of injuries this season have really killed us off," said Glendon. "But Lee Duffy had his opperation this week - so from that point of view there is better news."
