A 62-YEAR-OLD woman was taken to hospital on Friday when she received minor burns while carrying an armchair, which was on fire, out of her flat.
Firefighters were called to Fletcher Street, Great Lever, at 11.15am. It is believed the fire was started by a cigarette.
The woman was given oxygen treatment at the scene and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where she was treated for minor smoke inhalation and a small burn to her foot.
