I MUST thank the Bolton Evening News for highlighting, the appalling situation taking place at Greenbank Retirement complex in Farnworth, where elderly residents are afraid to venture outside their homes while youths climb up the fire-escape and run around on the roofs of the complex.
The lives of these vulnerable residents are being ruined and the actual premises are being damaged and vandalised. This problem has been constantly reported.
These children are out of control and this behaviour should not be tolerated any longer.
Why is it that the parents of these youths are allowed to shirk their responsibilities while their children get away with causing mayhem and misery in our society?
We should have these youths and their parents before the courts and severely dealt with. Perhaps then the residents in Greenbank will have a peaceful retirement in their own homes.
