Support is growing for a campaign aimed at saving a Coniston farm previously-owned by children's author Beatrix Potter.
The National Trust, which owns the 17th century High Yewdale Farm, want to split it up and turn farm buildings into business units.
So far 400 residents and farmers have signed a petition.
They claim the National Trust plans betray the author's wish to keep the hill farm working.
