LISTEN with mother was never like this!
New born babies are learning to live in harmony thanks to music lessons.
The babies are encouraged to gurgle along to a variety of lullabys and nursery rhymes with Lostock based group Music With Mummy.
The weekly 30-minute sessions take place at Lostock Parish Centre.
Organisers believe the Jolly Babies workshops, which are available for up to eight babies and their parents, help foster bonding between baby and parents, early speech development and early social skills.
Debra Scrivener, co-ordinator of Music with Mummy, said: "People may ask what possible effects these workshops can have on babies.
"But if you come to a session, you will realise the profound effect it has on mother and baby.
"The scientific evidence suggests that babies have a natural sense of rhythm and we want to try and harness this."
Music with Mummy sessions aim to teach basic aspects of music to youngsters, while having fun.
Each half term the children are introduced to a different concept by using a new theme. Specially composed music is used which will appeal to very young children.
