A GROUP which helps children having problems with reading is looking for volunteers.
Volunteer Reading Help trains people to go in to schools and help pupils who are struggling with reading and suffering from low self-esteem.
Anyone who thinks they could help would be needed to go into school for two 90-minute sessions in term time.
They would be working outside the classroom, listening to children reading, sharing books with them and playing games.
Volunteers need to be patient, have an interest in books and be happy to help children. All the necessary training would be given.
The group is also keen to get help on branch committees to oversee the organisation's work and to help with fund-raising.
Anyone interested in either of the opportunities should contact the Castle Hill Centre on Bolton 338053.
