AMIR Khan's dream date with Mario Kindelan has put Bolton Wanderers in the middle of a clash between two television heavyweights.

The Bolton fighter's rematch with the Cuban, who beat him in the 2004 Olympic final, will take place in the Reebok Stadium's Premier Suite on Saturday, April 30 - the same day Wanderers meet Chelsea in a Sky TV teatime Premiership showpiece.

ITV announced on Thursday that they will broadcast the Khan-Kindelan fight live, but with the Wanderers-Chelsea match (ko 5.15pm) only due to end at 7pm and the possibility that Jose Mourinho's Blues could be crowned Premiership Champions, the network's engineering crews will have their work cut out setting up while the football crowds disperse.

Sky are understood to have told ITV that their heavy trucks will only be allowed on to the stadium concourse at 8pm.

The fight night, which is being hosted by Bury Amateur Boxing Club with the help of the ABA and promoted by Frank Warren's Sports Network, is scheduled to start between 8.30pm and 9pm with the Khan-Kindelan bout due to take place between 10pm and 10.30pm.

The event, billed as "Khan-Kindelan 2", will put the Reebok in the national spotlight on prime time television but has presented the TV companies and club officials with a logistical nightmare.

Wanderers are confident, however, that they can handle both events. Spokesman, Danny Reuben, said: "All these logistics have to be discussed over the next week or so but we don't envisage any problems."
