I am writing with regard to the article published on March 23, "Iddon accused over road deaths claim", in which the Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate, Deborah Dunleavy, claims that Dr Iddon has misled the House of Commons over the number of fatal accidents in his constituency.
I was very shocked to read this article. I would have thought that an issue as sensitive as tragic early deaths would have been beyond the realms of political point scoring.
I can only hope that reading this article was not too traumatic for the families who have had to suffer the consequences of these actions.
I hope that in the run-up to a general election Ms Dunleavy will choose her subjects for debate with more care and consideration for the constituents she hopes to represent.
