A NEWLY refurbished JobCentre is opening its doors this week.
Bolton South-east MP Brian Iddon and the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Frank White, will unveil the office in King Street, Farnworth, on Friday.
The JobCentre Plus building has undergone a refurbishment so that jobs and benefits advice can be offered under one roof as part of a government drive to offer better services for the unemployed in the North-west.
Lindsey Harman, district manager for JobCentre Plus, said: "I am sure customers will be impressed with the new facilities.
"The office has been transformed, providing a more welcoming and accessible environment, and more private interview areas.
"We will be offering an advisory service to all unemployed customers and will work with them to help them back into work."
A new phone service is also being introduced. Jobseekers can call 0845 600 4266, text phone 0845 600 4269.
