WANDERERS are on course for selling a record number of season tickets.
The club has been inundated with requests from first time buyers and has had to set up a waiting list for some parts of the stadium.
Such has been the demand that Wanderers say they are selling "the hottest ticket in the area".
The fans imagination has been stirred by last season's exciting achievements which saw manager Sam Allardyce lead the club to a sixth-placed finish - their best in the Premiership - and qualify for the UEFA Cup for the first time in the club's history.
Wanderers have made a flying start to their summer ticket sales and the promise of more quality players coming in is bound to keep business booming.
The latest big name to be linked with a move to the Reebok is Newcastle midfielder Lee Bowyer who is strongly tipped to be on his way out of St James Park.
Wanderers sold almost 20,000 season tickets last season - beating the 17,500 sold the previous season - and the early signs are they are going to break the 20,000 barrier for next season.
The tickets only went on sale two weeks ago and, with in excess of 5,000 applications processed already, the club is confident of a bumper summer.
Communications manager, Danny Reuben, said: "Since going on sale last month, the club has already processed more than 5,000 applications, which is a great effort.
"The encouraging signs suggest there are new supporters purchasing season tickets for the first time.
"In some areas of the stadium, we have had to start a waiting list which just goes to show that Bolton Wanderers is becoming the hottest ticket in the area."
The early purchase discount period for buying tickets expires on Saturday, June 18, and there is a further benefit for Lifeline members who qualify for an additional five per cent discount if they include their membership details at the time of purchase.
Season ticket holders will have their last season's seats reserved for renewal until Saturday, July 9, after which all unsold seats become available for general sale.
Season ticket application packs are available from the club or the ticket hotline on 0871 871 2932.
The ticket and membership office is open on Mondays to Fridays from 9.30am to 6pm and on Saturdays from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
