Walkden were the unwilling victims of one of the biggest shocks in this season's Thwaites Lancashire Knockout competition.
The Bolton League side, winners of the trophy in 2002 and 2003, and one of the favourites for this year's competition, were bowled out for a meagre 108 by Manchester Association side Swinton Moorside.
There seemed little to trouble the Bolton side at the halfway stage as they confined Swinton to a seemingly reachable 173-9, Bernard Reidy doing much of the damage with bowling figures of 4-34.
But then the strongest part of Walkden's game, their batting, simply collapsed.
Jason Swift, who admitted that he had always scored well on the ground when he played for Bolton Cricket Club, was out for a duck second ball, caught and bowled by Shah.
Worse was to follow as Swinton bowler Hunt picked up 5-28 off his nine overs, only David Smith showing any real resistance with a top score of 27.
In the same competition, Ryan Senior made a major contribution to Greenmounts nine wicket-win over Bolton League rivals Westhoughton. He picked up a couple of wickets as Westhoughton disappointed with the bat and were bowled out for only 116, before hitting his maiden senior half century in Greenmount's reply.
Captain Mark Fallon provided most of the problems for the Westhoughton batsmen and ended the game with healthy figures of 4-19 off nine overs.
When Greenmount batted, Senior came to the fore again hitting 54 not out, while pro Nishit Shetty was unbeaten on 56 as the pair put on 109 for the second wicket to steer Greenmount to a winning 119-1.
