WANDERERS have been linked with a move for Champions League-winning midfielder Igor Biscan, who has been told he will not be offered a new deal by Liverpool.
The Croatian does not figure in Rafa Benitez's plans for next season, but news of his Anfield departure has reportedly interested Sam Allardyce - who is looking for a ball-winner to boost his squad.
The 27-year-old midfielder was signed for £5.5 million from Dynamo Zagreb in 2000, and made more than 100 appearances for the Reds.
Despite not proving the most popular figure with supporters during his career at Liverpool, a switch to the centre of midfield helped Biscan rediscover his consistency this season.
Former Anfield boss Gerard Houllier, now at Lyon, is monitoring Biscans situation, and Lazio have also been linked with his signature.
