LUNG Cancer is the biggest cancer killer in the world and The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only charity in the world wholly dedicated to defeating it.
In this Year of the Volunteer, I can think of no more fitting recipient of our praise than Geoff Knowles, who continues to work tirelessly on our behalf.
Once again, this year he will be recruiting walkers, together with chief organiser and loyal supporter Graham Glover, for the annual Ramble for Roy, which takes place at Rivington on Saturday, July 23.
We cannot thank Geoff and his friends enough for their support, but hope this public announcement will go some way to showing our appreciation.
