MARK Moran from Bolton is to be ordained a Catholic priest by the Bishop of Clifton, the Right Rev Declan Lang, at Clifton Cathedral in Bristol on Saturday, July 9.
Mark will be welcomed into the priesthood by a congregation including family and friends.
He has worked in parishes in Gloucestershire, Bath and Bristol while studying to become a priest. Mark grew up in Westhoughton and attended St Josephs Catholic Secondary School in Horwich.
Before realising his vocation to the priesthood, he worked as a chef and as an administrator.
He was accepted to study for the priesthood by Bishop Lang in May, 2002, having already completed four years of training in the Salford diocese.
