LANCASHIRE Road Club riders have recorded some good results over the last two weeks.
Paul Shallicker won the Withington Wheelers 25- mile time trial with a time of 55.13 after making a quick dash from work to the event at Goostrey in Cheshire.
Earlier that day, Craig Battersby took an excellent second place overall in the Manchester Road Race at Doveholes circuit in Derbyshire.
Further north at Ingleton, Road Club riders competed in the Circuit of the Dales 50 mile time trial.
Triathelete Dave Biddulph recorded 2.28.36. Also riding were Martin Kerry with 2.32.11 and Colin Ross in 2.53.03.
On Saturday, veteran Frank Kerry recorded a rapid time of 21.45 in the Barrow Central Wheelers 10-mile time trial at Levens in Cumbria. It has yet to be confirmed as to whether this time is a record for his age standard.
The week before, Kerry rode in the North Lancs 10 at Garstang and won the over-65 category with a time of 23.59. Also riding was Graham Hall with 25.40.
Over Easter, a number of club riders competed in a three-day stage race in Northamptonshire.
Paul Shallicker took third place overall. Junior rider James Keenan was fourth in the sprint on stage one. Craig Battersby was second and Shallicker fourth on stage two.
This weekend riders are competing in the West Pennine hill time trail around Longridge Fell near Preston.
