WANDERERS goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has agreed a new three-year contract, says his agent.

The decision ends speculation that the Finland internatioal was on his way out of the Reebok after talks stalled on a new deal earlier in the season.

Bolton have moved to tie Jaaskelainen down and fend off any possible interest from around the Premiership.

Manchester United were reportedly interested in Jaaskelainen until Alex Ferguson snapped up Edwin Van der Saar last week.

The goalkeeper's agent Peter Harrison said: "I can confirm Jussi has agreed a three-year deal, it has all been agreed."

"Jussi is delighted it has all been sorted out and he will be signing when he returns from holiday.

"He is really looking forward to next season when Bolton will make their European debut."

Jaaskelainen will now be tied to Bolton until 2008 once he inks the deal upon his return to England from a family holiday later this month.

Jaaskelainen had yet another superb campaign last season and played a major role in helping Bolton achieve their best-ever Premiership place, as they finished seventh - which also booked them a place in the UEFACup for the first time in their history.

Manager Sam Allardyce is now on the look out for a new number two and Swiss ace Sebastian Roth has been linked, along with Lyn's highly-rated Omani international Ali Al-Habsi.
