ASTLEY & Tyldesley professional Suresh Riani is certainly proving to be a smash hit.
The 18-year-old Indian A international hit an unbeaten 89 off only 25 balls in his side's nine-wicket win over Lostock.
In an innings that had people running for cover and motorists moving their cars to safer parking areas, he smashed seven 6s and nine 4s - a total of 78 runs in boundaries - to set up A & T's winning score of 119-1.
And he is also no slouch with the ball either, claiming 4-43, but Steve Walsh was the Lostock batsmen's chief tormentor taking 5-24.
