THERE are hundreds of people in Bolton opting to do a job which isolates them physically and socially and probably regularly breaks their hearts.
They are the many carers, looking after a family member, relative or friend. They save the State millions but the cost is often to the quality of their own lives which can involve arduous, time-consuming routines, often 24 hours a day.
They would probably argue that they have no choice and it is a labour of love, but they deserve our support and thanks.
It's National Carers Week this week (ends June 18) , so if you know someone like this, give them a treat of your time. We owe them so much.
