TALENTED drama student Lucy Moores looks set to fulfil her childhood dreams after she won a place at a top performing arts college in London.
The Turton High School student beat off hundreds of applicants to secure a place at the BRIT School in Croydon.
The school helped launch the career of singing sensation Katie Melua. And former Beatles producer Sir George Martin and Mick Jagger are patrons.
Lucy, aged 15, of Harwood, took part in a rigorous selection process which included an audition and an interview, to gain a coveted spot on the two year Musical Theatre course in September.
And after becoming only the second student from outside London to gain a place on this year's Musical Theatre course, Lucy can not wait for the start of the biggest challenge of her life.
She said: "I was really shocked when I got an interview, never mind being offered a place. I went down there for the audition with no expectations. So when I found out I had got a place I was over the moon."
Lucy began performing when she was just three and has starred in many drama and musical productions, and appeared as an extra in the long running hit children's TV show Grange Hill and Burn It.
She currently attends the Eileen Nelson School of Performing Arts, based on Crompton Way and the Rossendale Amateur Youth Society.
