A NEW website and intranet has revolutionised communications for Bolton-based Sandusky, one of the world's top five manufacturers of heavy machinery for the paper industry.
NetConstruct, one of the UK's leading internet business solutions consultancies, has developed a website www.sanduskyintl.com that covers Sandusky's full range of machinery, including its famous Yankee Dryer.
The dryer, weighing more than 170 tonnes, is the main item of equipment used in tissue paper manufacture.
Much of the company's machinery is exported to the Far East. The new intranet provides Sandusky with improved global communication.
Andrew Wilkinson, Sandusky's global IT Director, said: "The website and intranet project has gone smoothly from the outset.
"The inclusion of NetConstruct's online video broadcast system, WebVU, with subtitles in the languages of our core international markets, allows us to show our high quality manufacturing processes to a worldwide client base."
David Bentley, NetConstruct managing director, said: "We are obviously delighted to be working with Sandusky. Our web solutions have proven revolutionary for many of our clients."
