COULD someone at Bolton Council, please explain to me why my mum, as a responsible householder, pays £10 out of her meagre pension to have larger refuse removed, then is told that two shed doors cannot be included?
The young lady I spoke to told me that "garden" refuse cannot be taken, but an old green garden hose could!
She also proceeded to inform me that it would have cost my mum £50 for a skip, if the council did not oblige!
Also, perhaps my mum should look in Yellow Pages and pay someone else to remove said doors!
Why pensioners cannot be exempt from this charge is beyond me.
Once again, I shall bring to the council's attention as to why people fly-tip!
If shed doors are "garden refuse", can we put them in the green bin?
I await a reply.
