I AM totally disgusted with the state of the A666 St Peter's Way, which is the main road into the heart of Bolton from the motorway network.
This road is the first impression that anyone gets of Bolton when they are visiting us.
The grass on this section of dual carriageway was, in many places, between two and three feet high up until last weekend. You could not see the central reservation rails on most of the sections of it.
Also some of the 50mph signs were out of view, which is a danger to motorists.
This dual carriageway used to be one of the finest kept roadways, in my opinion, in the whole of the North-west.
It always looks very nice in the spring when the daffodils come out when we see the whole of the banking in a sea of yellow flowers.
The roundabouts in this town used to be some of the finest in the country. They were regularly sponsored by some of the towns businesses who used to maintain them and plant flowers and shrubs in them.
